The teacher will give students homework. Children are supposed to do the homework themselves at home. Parents can help their child by providing a good environment. It helps if, insofar as possible, your child completes his or her homework at the same time and in the same place every day and is not disturbed. Switch the radio and television off at this time. Perhaps your child could do his or her homework with a friend from school. Learning together is often much more fun.

Some communities and schools offer a supervised homework club after school, where your child can do homework under the supervision of a carer. Clubs and organisations sometimes hold reasonably priced courses supervised by trained teachers. Private study tuition is also available.
