Youth work helps children, adolescents and young adults to become independent. Around 50% of the municipalities in the canton of Graubünden have professional youth workers. Most municipalities have youth clubs which are open on Wednesday afternoons, or Friday or Saturday evenings. Youth work is free and available to all.

Youth workers are committed to the social, cultural and political integration into the local community of children, adolescents and young adults, to help them to be confident and able to develop into people who take responsibility for themselves and the community and who contribute to the processes of society. This can be achieved through projects, events, a youth club or services for children and young people in which they can get involved.
