Integration is a dynamic, individual and social process that is based on the mutual relationship between obligations and rights and aims to facilitate participation in commercial and social life for all sections of the population. The promotion of integration is based on the principle of «challenge and encouragement» and supports in particular the learning of a language, professional advancement and social participation.

The Department of Integration manages and coordinates the specific promotion of integration at cantonal and municipal level. It promotes and supports projects on linguistic and social integration and ensures the provision of information in the area of integration.
